Mug cozy

It's cold outside and I'm in a lazy mood this Sunday afternoon so I decided to crochet a mug cozy for my favorite mug. After looking at lots of interesting patterns on Ravelry, I decided to use Marion's. It looks soo cute! :-)

Another cawl

I have to find a gift for my 'invisible friend' so I thought that instead of buying something, it would be nicer if I made something myself. I came across a very easy crocheted cawl on Ravelry and decided to give it a try. Here are the results:
If anyone is interested in this pattern, you'll find it here I'm very happy with the results. I used two skeins of Katia Degradé and made a foundation chain of 60 because I used a 9 size hook.

Crochet mittens

This is a Christmas present for my sister who is living in Ireland now. The quality of the photo is not too good. I crocheted some mittens with purple Merino wool. I hope they keep her warm!

Second sewing project: make-up bag

Today I'd like to share my second finished sewing project. It's really easy to make. You just need a zipper and two cloths: one for the outside and one for the inside. To draw the pattern you only need to draw a rectangle, it should be as long as your zipper, mine was 20cmx16cm. Then you draw the rectangle onto your fabric, you need two rectangles of each fabric. Then you just sew them onto your zipper and you have a lovely bag to put your make-up in!

Christmas baking

Well, Christmas is round the corner so, taking advantage of this long weekend in December, my mother and I started with the Christmas baking today. The chosen cookies for this festive holiday are: Peanut butter oatmeal chocolate chip cookies and Hungarian jam cookies. I'm pretty proud with the results! The cookies are delicious! I'm taking some to school tomorrow, let's see what the rest of the teachers think! ;-)

The recipes we followed are from an old magazine, but I'm sharing a couple of online recipes that are pretty close to the ones I followed: jam cookies and oatmeal peanut butter chocolate chip cookies

Let me know if you've tried any of them! Happy Christmas baking! :-)
